Deep sea fishing Tampa is providing solid action on Mangrove snapper and Key west grunts. These fish are a heck of a lot of fun on light tackle. Based on the early spring bite we predict the snapper fishing to be hot into the summer.
Tampa bay fishing charters are providing great speckled trout fishing in the shallows. We have had some really great weather pushing into the mid 80’s, and expect to have a stellar spring fishery inside the bay. Snook are showing up on the grass flats, as the redfish took their spot in the river, and mackerel are beginning to run through the bay.
We expect Kingfish to be here in the next few weeks to a month and are looking forward to some intense fishing. Time flies and summer fishing is right around the corner when you can get your chance at a Monster Tarpon pushing over 100 lbs. Wilson came down with family from S.C today to fish Snook in Tampa bay. Capt. Jared Simonetti guided them on their trip today. He is handling all of my business as I am physically not capable of being on a boat right now and am out of the state.
Springtime snook fishing is hot with the Spring showers bringing an influx of freshwater baitfish and cool fresh water into Tampa bay from local lakes and rivers.

Tampa Bay Fishing Charter Report: Capt. Jared Simonetti
March fishing has been fantastic and the weather is in full Spring fashion. Fishing is starting to heat up, and as the air temp gets hotter so will the fishing. Tarpon fishing is just around the corner and snook are already making their way out to the beaches. Bait is slowly starting to show up on the flats, and it will only be a few weeks till it is covering the flats. Redfish have been the main targets for march with some trips producing quality size fish and decent numbers of fish.
The large gator trout that our Clearwater area is known for are still around and will be around till about the end of the month. April is starting to look really good with the way things are going now – Snook and giant Tarpon will be my main focus, with some Mackerel action thrown in. If you are thinking about crossing a Big Tarpon or a Huge Snook off your bucket list now is the time to do it! Call us to plan your fishing charter!
